Have a blog? Why not give Uganda-CAN a little mention or a link?
No blog? How about adding our site's link to your MySpace or Facebook profile?
Can't do any of the above? Well I guess you get the day off then. Well, you could at least leave a friendly comment!

March 27, 2006: Spread Uganda-CAN Day 1: Tell a friend
in: Uganda-CAN
by: Andy
Hi folks. We need your help. Since launching Uganda-CAN, we've been amazed by the support, generosity, and ideas generated by you, our community of supporters. To continue to build the momentum, we're trying to expand the number of voices crying out in unison about this conflict. Of course, the most effective way to promote Uganda-CAN is to let people who care about our cause help spread the word... so with your co-operation we're kicking off Spread Uganda-CAN Week!
Each day this week we're going to ask every Uganda-CAN reader, team member, and supporter to do one very small thing to help get the word out.
Today, you can help us out and tell one friend or family member about Uganda-CAN. One of the worst contributing factors to this long, drawn-out war is apathy--so buck that trend in a small way! Even if you tell one person, that is one more voice expressing outrage about the situation in northern Uganda. If there's anything the Darfur movement has taught us, it's that it's amazing what a hundred voices singing the same tune can achieve. So get at it!
p.s. Remember to check back tomorrow (and every day this week) for more "assignments" to help spread the Uganda-CAN message!

March 23, 2006: Uganda-CAN and GuluWalk Hold Kampala Press Conference
in: Uganda-CAN
by: Peter
Uganda-CAN co-founders Peter Quaranto and Michael Poffenberger participated with GuluWalk co-founders Adrian Bradbury and Kieran Hayward in a joint press conference Tuesday at the Refugee Law Project in Kampala. Quaranto began, "We are united today by the work of building an international movement for peace in northern Uganda. I am happy to report to you that the movement is growing." Poffenberger followed, "We are calling for the international community, especially the US and UK, to help arrest LRA leadership and ensure ICC arrest warrants are served. We are also calling for the Government of Uganda to guarantee the people of northern Uganda secure return to their land." Bradbury remarked, "The [current] protection strategy of camps is not protection if 1000 people are dying per week. That's not security. That's not protection." The press conference came at the end of a 2-week fact-finding trip of GuluWalk and Uganda-CAN in northern Uganda.
