William Bionx Akena, Uganda-CAN news correspondent, reports that there has been a drastic drop in the number of children reporting to the night commuter centers around Gulu town. These historic low numbers have been attributed to the relative calm of the security situation and the hope that ongoing peace talks can finally bring an end to the violence. At one center alone, the numbers have dropped from 7500 children a night to between 100 and 200. That center - Noah's Ark - is already planning to set up programs post-conflict to support and educate children. The challenge of overcoming trauma will be immense.
